Should interventions in Tier 2 and Tier 3 follow the alignment of the core curriculum?
Dr. Karen Wixson emphasizes that in general, Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions should be aligned with the core curriculum.
However, in her response, she does identify situations when differences between the tiered interventions provided and the core curriculum may be necessary.

Implementing RTI in Urban Settings
Chemay Morales-James and a team from New York University’s Metropolitan Center for Urban Education outline the structural and cultural dynamics unique to urban schools that may complicate the development and implementation of RtI.
